Brandi Funk, FNP-C, RN
Hi, I’m Brandi. I’m a board-certified nurse practitioner who helps women in early breast cancer remission who are struggling with fatigue, weight gain, cancer treatment side effects and fear of cancer recurrence learn and implement key lifestyle changes so that they can achieve optimal health, improve their quality of life and decrease their chance of cancer recurrence.
I’ve worked as an oncology nurse at an internationally renowned cancer center for 20 years at the bedside and as a breast cancer quality of life researcher and what I’ve found is that most women fighting breast cancer are not taught how to live to achieve optimal health to prevent cancer recurrence after they finish cancer treatment.
Too often, they are left to figure it out on their own, while feeling drained, overwhelmed, confused, frustrated and afraid that their cancer will return.
While I was with the trenches, I often asked myself why these women weren’t better prepared for life after cancer. They had questions too.
Questions, such as…
“How do I prevent cancer recurrence?”
“What do I eat?”
“How do I lose weight?”
“How do I get my energy back?”
I knew I could do more to help. I’ve spent the last decade studying health, integrative medicine and cancer prevention to help myself, friends, family and patients get healthy, feel great and prevent cancer and cancer recurrence. I’ve spent thousands of hours teaching people with cancer how to achieve optimal health while fighting cancer and beyond.
I’ve taken my experience and everything I’ve learned and have created a roadmap to health and wellness during breast cancer remission to help give these women a sense of control and hope for their future.
